Peel and Stick Chalkboard - Removable - Alternative to Chalkboard Paint - Cheap Way to Transform a Wall or Door

After spending an hour just trying to repaint a room that had chalkboard paint, I figured there had to be a better way.

Having a chalkboard is fun, but you don't always want it to be permanent or to mess with too much DIY.  I came across this awesome product which is basically peel and stick chalkboard wallpaper.  Check it out!

You even get 5 chalks with it! I was thinking this is the perfect way to cover up a not so great door, or a wall that has seen better days. As long as there is a smooth surface, this can really jazz up a room for adults and kids.

How to Install Peel and Stick Chalkboard

Step 1 - Make sure the wall or surface is flat and clean.  Even damp mop it if you are unsure and let dry.

Step 2 - Measure where exactly you want it to go based on the size you purchased.

Step 3 - Start at the top and peel back the backing paper as you go

Step 4 - With a soft cloth press out any air bubbles

DONE!

You can get this is different sizes, but you can also get a few rolls and join them together like wallpaper, and do an entire wall.

The beauty is that you can take it off if you are done with it down the road.  This is a great change from chalkboard paint, which is still an alternative, but much more DIY is required and if you rent your space you landlord may not be impressed.

Perfect in Kids Room

Peel and Stick is the Way to Go in Decorating Especially Rental Spaces

As long as you can remove your decorations you can totally personalize the most boring rental space.  If you can remove it without damage, then you can use it.

I totally love the idea of this type of instant chalkboard.

Great for Artists Too!

Create art with chalk and make a conversation piece.  Change it out when you are done with it or bored.  This is certainly an affordable way to jazz up any room.  This is not just for kids!  It can also be a message board or a To Do List.

For under 10 bucks, this is an affordable way to decorate.

Cut Into Stickers!

Maybe you don't want an entire wall made up of blackboard.  You can also cut out stickers for the wall.  This is another cool artistic way to use this product.

The stickers could be large enough to draw on, or not.   There are so many ways to get creative with this type of chalkboard surface.

It is such a fun an affordable option to the typical chalkboard paint.  So check out this peel and stick chalkboard contact paper and have some fun.
